WE ARE CORVETTES

Doug Lindberg, owner, and founder of Lindberg Automotive, was inspired at a young age by the automotive industry. Doug began his journey in high school, taking automotive classes and continued with night school classes at the College of Lake County. Doug went on to work with Dennis Wilson, Owner of Vette Engineering, who worked exclusively on Corvettes. There, Doug learned the ins and outs of the Corvette and inspired his passion for classic cars. Doug joined a racing team where he helped rebuild and update AJ Foyt’s 1963 Split-Window Corvette under owner Bard Boand. Doug ran as Crew Chief for the race, a 12-hour endurance race at the Sebring in Florida. Their Corvette finished the race against other multi-million dollar cars. From 1980-1984 Doug rebuilt his own 1965 Corvette, which he still owns and prides in today. Doug eventually purhased the business from Dennis and moved his new venture from McHenry to its current location in Lake Zurich in 1983. Well -known now as a Corvette Specialist, he started out doing what he knew and loved best, Corvettes. Over time as new auto mechanics joined the shop, Doug and his team found they loved working on more makes and models. They began training and sharing knowledge of the many vehicles they worked on. This brought Lindberg Automotive where it is today - an honest and fairly priced local auto repair shop with ASE-certified mechanics who work on all makes and models for the everyday driver.
